There i show you some new pics from the Cavalry of the Corps of Guides. The Brigade is an mixed unit of praetorian Hussars (114th Hussars "The High Kings Own) and delihan Lancers (12th Indira, 45th Mysob).

Back to the Ratling Sniper Aldo G. Huggins. At the next i´ve formed the foots. They look a little bit to big, but this is my first work with green stuff in this form.

The mordian head whould get an "Captain Ahab Beard" with green stuff. I think it looks, doesn´t it ?

The head glued on the body and on base. Then i started to paint the ground colors...

Aldo G. Huggins, I found the idea of a sniper in the penal legion very well. Especially because sometimes I could try rebuilding my talent test. And here are the beginnings:

The Conversion based on the torso of a tank commander. The head was that of a Mordian. The arms should be muscular, so I took advantage of the Catachan.

I cut off the hatch frame and tried to grind the surfaces reasonably clean.

They say the good Boris was a drunk one evening about the thirst, in truth you will not know whether he deliberately shot the officer or in a drunken stupor. He was detained in the prison bunker V of Primus Angelus before Merkenian him for the "Special Operations" recruited.

Yermak is a typical Valhallaner., Cold, proud and incredibly stubborn. This led also to the fact that he shot the lieutenant, who tried to commandeer the stocks of alcohol in his company.

Merkenian brought him into the special operations before the commissariat could give him free for execution. Still chasing the Commissariat his head ... ..

Charles TH "Hooker" Starbrazer, Corporal, 88th Catachan "city rats"

During the pacification of Rhotep III, Hooker had to stop an officer from the service a celebration of his superiors during the nightly watch. In the pre dogfight six of the seven officers were killed. To date, no one can say whether they caught all Hooker, but he and his team were under arrest.

Outpost - Field Generator

This is a reconstruction of old toys, the remains of an old Star Wars AT-AT.

The underside of the fuselage is the actual generator, one of the feet is the transmitter. The fences I made of aluminum wire and the posts have strips are normal wood dowels.

I created the crushed pieces from the old cast-plastic frame.

With the 2nd Batallion, we have Cadian Minis. There are the men from Yukoni, an old praetorian colony in the Canadi-Subsektor (several others are the Praetorian Colombo System, the Saskatchewa-System and the Ontari-System).

The realy name of the unit is 818th Yukoni Regiment. After the battle of Tel`reb, the Units whould detachet to the 20th Praetorian. So the officiel Name now: 2nd Batallion, 20th Praetorian - 818th Yukoni, Callsign: The Crusher".

As you could already see some non-commissioned officers (always one per squad) have an ax as a melee weapon. It is about energy weapons. This is a peculiarity of the 818th Regiment Yukoni, they should document the use of the regiment as a pioneer unit, emphasizing the special nature of close combat specialists.

The second battalion of the 20th Regiment has the unofficial nickname "the Crusher" or Rasczak` s Crusher . It`s first combat (and only previous use) as an independent regiment within the Kandahar Field Force had it during the siege of the southern cities of Ramanpur.

The actual 818th Regiment of Yukoni loss suffered during the siege battle up to 80 percent, all experienced officers at the front and a large part of the noncommissioned officer corps.

Lord General Gordon then ordered the amalgamation of the regiment as the second Battalion of the 20th Praetoria, which had also suffered heavy losses.
The Command Sergeant Major of the 818th Yukoni, Gerald Jean Rasczak, was appointed as the new commander of the Second Battalion and promoted to Major.

This ist the modell of the first officer from Delihan Army (Perry Miniatures - Sudan). The Riding Master and Colonel Bashar Houda Dat from 117th Delihan Lancers, as part of the Corps of Guides within the Praetorian Contingent.

Deliha/Khalandra - Army Report VCI:

With great shock had a brazen attack three weeks ago reported by fundamentalist forces under the leadership of the Mahdi against the Kalandra Garrison.

Lord General Gordon and his staff were involved in the fighting. It lacks any contacts yet. Colonel Wimsay was sent with a brigade reconnaissance work to do at first. Lord Kitchanar was assigned and furnish the Delihan Army.

Moreover, His Majesty the King's Randolf Praetoria together with the representatives of the Adeptus Administratum a new Governor General has appointed the Deliha Sector.

With the Duke of Beresford-Severn to win the praetorian forces an experienced and excellent field marshal who could collect by deliberate calculation and strict discipline in the past numerous honors for himself and Praetoria. Beresford-Severn is also his Majesty's Privy Council and a member of the Secret Cabinet.

The extent of the Earl of Sikkim, Lord Kitchanar be bound by instructions Beresford-Severns will is still lacking. All are hoping that General Lord Gordon can be freed as quickly as possible. My first thought about the regiment crossed my mind, if I first see the film „the far pavillions“. The british-indian Unit there is form in the “Corps of Guides” in Nothern Indian Frontier.

So the Uniformcolour from 20th Praetorian was going in this way. Now, I have collect some ideas for the cavalry part of the “Dragoons”, called “Corps of Guides”. Some pics to show you my intentions:

There are some guardsmen from infantry. These are the delihan Sepoys of 20th Praetorian.

This is the Praetorian Gala Dress Uniform of the Corps of Guides. There you see an young Captain.

This Lieutenant weres the Standard Battle Officer Uniform. The Pit helm in Command Khaki, not white (like the Captain above). The dresses are red.

The Leftenant again (withaout the pit).

Old officers from an traditional praetorian guard regiment are "fighting" there companien from the Corps of Guides.

There are some description from Wikipedia:
• The Corps of Guides was a regiment of the British Indian Army. It was a unit with a reputation for innovation, individual initiative, endurance, daring and toughness in battle.

History

The brainchild of Sir Henry Lawrence, the Corps had modest beginnings. When it was raised in Peshawar by Lt. Harry Lumsden in December 1846, it comprised just one troop of cavalry and two companies of infantry. However, it soon grew a fair deal in size and whatever it lacked in quantity, it never lacked in quality. It maintained the quirky 'cavalry and infantry combined in the same regiment' format for many years, and even when split into two separate components, the name lingered in both elements. The Corps of Guides was always part of the crack Frontier Force brigade and if the Frontier Force itself developed into an elite formation, then the Guides were the premier unit of the premier force. They were famous for being the first unit in the Indian or British Armies to dress in khaki. They were soon followed by the other Frontier Force regiments. Like the Greenjackets of the Napoleonic wars, and the SAS of our own times, they were often used in small detachments, usually supported by other reliable troops such as the Sikhs and Gurkhas, to act as 'force multipliers', due to the resourcefulness and courage manifest throughout their ranks.

Throughout its history the Corps was reorganized and renamed. It was known variously as:

• The Corps of Guides (1846)
• The Corps of Guides, Punjab Irregular Force (1857)
• Corps of Guides, Punjab Frontier Force (1865)
• Queen's Own Corps of Guides, Punjab Frontier Force (1876)
• Queen's Own Corps of Guides (1901)
• Queen's Own Corps of Guides (Lumsden's) (1904)
• Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides (Frontier Force) (Lumsden's) (1911).[1]

In 1911 the cavalry and infantry components were designated as such. The cavalry then became, successively:-

• Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides (Frontier Force) (Lumsden's) Cavalry (1911)
• 10th Queen Victoria's Own Corps Of Guides Cavalry (Frontier Force) (1922)
• The Guides Cavalry (10th Queen Victoria's Own Frontier Force) (1927)[2]

and the infantry:-

• Queen Victoria's Own Corps of Guides (Frontier Force) (Lumsden's) Infantry (1911)
• 5th Bn (QVO Corps of Guides) 12th Frontier Force Regiment (1922)[3]

In 1945, the 12th Frontier Force Regiment was renamed the Frontier Force Regiment and on independence and the partition of India it was allocated to Pakistan. The cavalry regiment was also allocated to Pakistan and was renamed the Guides Cavalry (Frontier Force). In 1957, the Frontier Force Rifles and The Pathan Regiment were amalgamated with the Frontier Force Regiment to form a new Frontier Force Regiment. The Guides battalion became the 2nd battalion of the new regiment.

The Guides, along with the 2nd Gurkhas and the 60th Rifles won with their blood the unique honour and the right to wear red piping on the collars of their Uniforms. As such both The 10th Guides Cavalry (FF) and the 2nd Battalion (The Guides) of the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army wear Red Piping on the collars of their uniforms.

This must be noted, differentiated and distinguished from other units of other armies (such as the 1st Battalion of the East Bengal Regiment of Bangladesh) who have "awarded themselves" the red piping!

The Guides are the subject of George John Younghusband's book, The Story of the Guides, first published in March 1908.

Creating an elite

The first home of the Guides was at Kalu Khan, on the Yusufzai Plain, in the Peshawar Valley region. The first action was at Mughdara, in the Panitar Hills. Within two years, the small force of Guides had established a name for itself, under Lumsden, its founder and sole British officer, such that when the Second Sikh War broke out in 1848, the unit was given authorisation for a three-fold increase in size, to 6 companies of infantry and 3 troops of cavalry.

The Corps of Guides became established as the garrison unit of a key post on the frontier, the new fort of (Hoti ~) Mardan. In 1857 the unit was called urgently to help relieve the Siege of Delhi. In just over three weeks the Guides marched nearly six hundred miles during the hottest month of the year, crossing five great rivers and fighting four small actions. The march coincided with the month of Ramadan meaning that the muslim soldiers in the force could neither eat nor drink during the hours of daylight. On arrival at Delhi, the force of 600 Guides were almost immediately called upon to join the defence of the city. Men who had just completed a march of some 580 miles were thrown into a battle of such intensity that no fewer than 350 of the 600 became casualties within an hour of their arrival in Delhi. This action established the reputation of the Corps of Guides throughout India as a corps d'elite.

So…this is the history. The next units will be come and bring the new HQ of 20th Praetorian from Kalandrabad to Madan. Pics will be come soon.

Than, there i found an Terminator, that was a part of an White Dwarf. And i think i want to convert the other Master to the new Command of my own Space Marine Chapter, the "Dark Dragons" ore so, don´t know if the name whout be.

Edward Lionel war kein Offizier von Traurigkeit. Das wusste auch Gorm Harno. Er achtete und respektierte den Second Lieutenant, der wieder einmal von der Beförderung und von einem eigenem Kommando ausgelassen wurde.

„Wie ich sehe, Harno, hat der Colonel einen Narren an Ihnen gefressen“, sagte Lionel hämisch.

„Wir salutieren nicht dem Mann, sondern dem Rang, Lionel“, brummte Harno vorsichtig. Lionel spielte einen förmlichen Gruß, in dem er zwei Finger lässig an die Schläfe legte. Sein verbittertes und herablassendes Lächeln war geblieben.

Als Sohn eines einfachen Whiskyhändlers hatte es Lionel nicht leicht gehabt. Und eigentlich war ein fähiger Offizier, das wusste Harno. Doch seine rüde Art hatte ihm bereits viele Türen verschlossen. Mit 25 Jahren war Lionel der sowohl dienst- als auch älteste Cornet des Regiments, ein Umstand der sich durch Harnos Beförderung nur noch verschlimmerte.

Lionel lächelte nun diabolisch und ging langsam auf Harno zu. Sein Gesicht war hasserfüllt und doch mit einer Spur Schalk darin. Als er Gorm Nasenspitze an Nasenspitze gegenüberstand, sprach er leise, ein Flüstern welches kaum zu hören war.

„Hörzu, Generalssöhnschen, ich lasse mir weder von Dir noch den anderen Protzen meinen Platz in der Garde streitig machen“, begann er ruhig.

„Das ist meine Kompanie, und das weis jeder hier. Nur weil du nun drei Pipes trägst, brauchst Du nicht zu denken, dich einmischen zu müssen, merke Dir das das“, er ging einen schritt zurück, salutierte lässig mit zwei Fingern an seinem Helm und ging.

Harno schluckte. Er hatte geahnt das ihm das in der 3ten Kompanie passieren würde. Lionel war ein berühmt berüchtigter Offizier im Regiment und selbst Kommissare wie Nemrod, Kairi oder Drako schüchterten ihn nicht ein.

„Lionel, bitte, ich will keine Zwistigkeiten. Sie behalten ihren Zug und ich will nur eines, das sie und ihre Männer ihren Job erledigen, wenn Praetoria ruft“, begann er beschwichtigend.

Lionel schüttelt den Kopf und lachte auf.

„Wenn Praetoria ruft…..Praetoria hat mich vergessen, Harno. Und das wird Praetoria auch mit ihnen und dieser ganzen Bande hier tun“, Lionel wurde nachdenklicher.

„Der Posten meines Stellvertreters ist noch nicht besetzt, Lionel, haben sie interesse?“, Harno wunderte sich selbst.

„Sie würden einen Bravet Rang für den nächsten Einsatz erhalten und nur einviertel mehr Sold, als den gesamten Umsatz, aber danach sollte die Beförderung zum First Lieutenant nur noch obligatorisch sein“; führte er weiter aus.

Lionel stutzt und zwinkerte ungläubig. Gorm hatte vorgehabt, sich Larry Barns als Stellvertreter zu holen. Barns war Mordianer vom 7ten Mordian, das im Zuge der Invasion von Indira III mehr als dreiviertel der Sollstärke verloren hatte. Die motorisierten Einheiten des 17ten Mordian wurden dem 20ten Praetoria angegliedert und dienten nun als mobile Infanterieeinheiten. Larry Barins war Gorms Freund und er würde seine Entscheidung verstehen.

Doch all diese Gedanken interessierten Lionel nicht.

„Ich hasse dich, Gorm“, begann er.

„Ich weis, Edward, ich weis“, antwortete Gorm.

„Aber sie sind jetzt in meiner Kompanie und gehören zu meiner Kommandocrew. Ich erwarte von meinen Offizieren das sie loyal und pflichtbewusst ihren Dienst tun“, Gorms Gesicht war ausdruckslos aber in seiner Stimme lag etwas, etwas was Lionel bewegte.

„Sir, der 2. Zug steht, Sir“, nun salutierte Lionel mit geradem Rücken und erhobenem Haupt.

„Lieutenant Lionel, sie werden als Befehlshaber des 2. Zuges auch das Kommando über Jemadar Alim Ramdschad erhalten“, Gorm lächelte.

„Sir, es…“ begann Lionel.

„Wegtreten, Lieutenant“, sagte Gorm nur und drehte sich wieder zum Exerzierplatz herum. Er hörte Lionels Schritte und hoffte, dass er keinen Fehler begangen hatte.

Lionel war sichtlich beeindruckt, auch wenn Gorm ihm deswegen nicht minder nicht trauen würde. Ein Kettenzug der gepanzerten mordianischen Einheiten der praetorianischen Mobilen Infanterie formierte sich unterhalb der Veranda auf der Gorm stand in Parkposition. Mehrer Chirmärepanzer waren mit Anhängern versehen und die Sepoys der indiranischen Kompanien begannen mit der Verladung von Proviant und Gerät.

Ein bulliger, großer mordianischer Offizier trat aus der Kommandochimäre heraus. Seine Uniform glich, bis auf den Tropenhelm, der Uniform Gorms. Doch anstelle des Pits trug er einen Schirmmütze, wie es bei der Eisernen Garde üblich ist. Der Offizier blickte zur Verande und lächelte, so vermutete Gorm. Er salutierte und gab dann Befehle an seiner Männer weiter.

Larry Barns, eigentlich Ludwig Barns, war Offizier der Eisernen Garde von Mordian und bei der Mobilen Infanterie. Doch die 17te Mobile Infanterie war bei der Invasion von Indira III fast vollständig aufgerieben worden, so dass die verbliebenen Einheiten, insgesamt 12 Kettenzüge mit jeweils 10 Panzern der verschiedenen Baureihen der Chimäre, als 17./20. Mobile Praetorianische Infanterie dem 20ten Praetoria unterstellt wurden.

Teile dieses Verbandes würden die dritte Kompanie begleiten. Gorm schaute in den Himmel und sah seine Staffel Walküren, wie sie Kurs auf die Landetürme der großen Militärbasis nehmen. Drei Walküren waren in dem Flottengrau gehalten, drei andere hatten das khaki und beige des 20. Praetoria und der silberne Löwe prangte Stolz unter dem Aquila auf den Flügeln.

„Ruhm und Ehre“, murmelte Gorm leise, als die Walküren majestätisch landeten.

Yes, of course. There are so much projects to do. But the idea of an liason officer, give me an creativ inovation about an "Gothic-Fleet" Project to. So, in the next time, i have some pictures of the Royal Praetorian Battleship, HMS Royal Oak, an Armaggedon Class Warbattleship.

The Royal Oak (yes, this is the ship from the story called Savannenwind), is the Flagg ship of the Delihan Sector Command Fleet. The Commanding Officer of the Fleet is High Admiral Lord Baxtrey. Will see, if this projects are ok. Pics will come in the next view days..

So, there is an other challange to me, to build an Liason Officer/Naval Advisor for my Staff. Klaus, from the DEI GRATIA, will build in return an praetorian army advisor on the bridge of the Athena.

My first thought was an miniature, that i don´t know, how i can use it.

But than, there was this challange, and i see my new advisor. There are only some little conversions to do.

The right arm, will be cut and the chainsword will leave the left arm.

Than, i have to convert with some green stuff the arms new.

The right and the left arms are going backside ore alongside the body of the Advisor. Lets see, converting pictures are coming in the next view weeks.

Hier sehen wir Captain Gorm Harno von der 3. Kompanie, 1. Bataillon, 20. Praetoria.

Die Uniformjacken der Offiziere auf Kompanie-Ebene sind im klassischen, praetorianischen Rot gehalten.
Offiziere ab der Regimentsebene tragen die Uniformjacken im praetorianischen Enfield-Braun. Die mobilen Infanterieeinheiten sowie die Kavallerieeinheiten tragen ebenfalls braune Jacken.
Da praetorianische Offiziere und Mannschaften auch den Teil des Oberkommandos der Armeegruppe inne haben, tragen sie ihre Uniformjacken in den Farben des imperialen Schwarz.

Auch dazu, gab es ja schon mal ein paar Bilder. Nach bzw. parallel zu den Tau, habe ich mit meinen Spezialeinheiten, den Dschungelkämpfern begonnen. Es handelt sich um dem 20th Praetorian angegliederte Einheiten.

Die Jungs von Birmingham sind sonnengebräunte Kämpfer. Daher habe ich ihre Haut auch etwas dunkler gestaltet.

Zur Zeit habe ich wenig Möglichkeiten mich um das Design und die Posts zu kümmern. Ich arbeite derzeit an der Fertigstellung des ersten Zuges des dritten Bataillons, eigentlich den Dschungelkämpfern von Birmingham. Ich weis noch nicht ob es bei dem Namen bleiben wird, da sie doch mehr und mehr wie Catachaner wirken. Bilder kommen in den nächsten Tagen.

Dann stehe ich noch in Verhandlungen mit Dei Gratia Chef Klaus wegen der Verbindungsoffiziere, mal sehen was da rauskommt. Und ich habe bei den Perrys gestöbert......

Erstmals wurde im Jahr 753.M39 ein 20. Regiment der Praetorianischen Garde ausgehoben. Unter dem Befehl des ersten Obersten, Sir Lionel Richard Campel, marschierte das 20. Praetoria gegen die Rebellen von Jahnisbur auf Kalimon IV. In mehreren erfolgreichen Schlachten bedeckte sich das Regiment mit Ruhm und Ehre, welches im Jahr 789.M39 mit der Erstürmung der Höhe von Balaklava auf dem Planeten Crim gipfelte.
Das Regiment wurde dabei fast vollständig aufgerieben, die Balaklavahöhen jedoch den feindlichen Rebellen endrissen. Durch diesen heroischen Angriff gelang es den Hauptstreitkräften auf Crim die Hauptstadt Sevaspol zu erobern und den Rebellen damit den Todesstoß zu versetzen.

Erst 695.M40 wurde ein zweites 20. Praetoria ausgehoben. Unter den Befehl von Oberst Terral Randel gestellt, kämpfte das Regiment gegen Orks und Eldar im Kaikos Drift sowie die Häretiker von Bergama und Thermopylon.

Im Jahr 701.M40 nahm das Regiment an den Abwehrschlachten gegen die Schwarmflotte Leviathan teil, bei denen sowohl der Oberst als auch mehr als dreiviertel des Regimentes im Kampf fielen. Erst spät, um 805.M40 wurden die restlichen Kompanien des 20. Praetoria nach Angelus Primus zurückversetzt (Angelus Primus ist einer von sieben Planeten im Praetoria-System) um dort zusammen mit den 116. Praetorianischen Husaren und den 27. Praetorianischen Dragonern zum 20. Praetoria Gardekavallerieregiment zusammengefasst zu werden.

Hauptsächlich mit Ausbildungsaufgaben betraut, diente das Regiment nunmehr viele Jahrhunderte lang im Heimatsystem als Householde Division und Home Guard.

Mit dem Eroberungsauftrag des Hohen Senats von Terra an den Befehlshaber des Segmentum Tempestus und den König von Praetoria wurden drei Armeegruppen ausgehoben von denen eine, die Heeresgruppe Angelus, nicht wie geplant eingesetzt wurde, sondern nach Armageddon entsandt wurde.

Im Jahr 234.M41 wurde das 20 Praetoria, zusammen mit dem berühmten 24. Praetoria, zeitweilig auf Calendra II stationiert um dort ebenfalls einfallende Orks aufzuhalten.

In 778.M41 wurde die Armeegruppe Angelus reaktiviert und als frischer Einsatzverband in den Eroberungsfeldzug unter dem Befehl von Lord General Edran Wolesey in Dienst gestellt. Woleseys Armeegruppe stieß tief in die nordwestlichen Bereiche des Segmentum Tempestus vor und eroberte die Systeme von Nelius, Indira und Kalitkut.

Der Befehlshaber des 20. Praetoria, Sir Herbart Stuart-Johnson (seit der Zusammenlegung stets und traditionell ein Offizier im Range eines Brigadiers) fiel während des Sturmangriffs auf die Hauptstadt von Indira IV. Lord General Edran wurde zum Sektorkommando versetzt und die Eroberungen durch die Armeegruppe Angelus durch dieses gesichert.

Mit Oberst Vincent G. Gordon erhielt ein fähiger und junger Offizier in diesem hohen Rang den Befehl über das 20. Praetoria.
Beginnend mit dem endenden 40. Jahrtausend (M41) hatten die Hohen Könige Praetorias für das Imperium damit bereits zahlreiche Welten zusammengeführt und Kriege gegen Orks und andere imperiumsfeindliche Elemente mit Erfolg oder aber mit Blut geschlagen und gewonnen.

Dabei waren ihre Einheiten, Verbände der berühmten Praetorianischen Garde, und allen voran das 20. Praetoria, der Hammer und die Faust aus Stahl und Plasma, die den Ruhm und die Ehre erfochten. Oberst Gordon führte das Regiment lange Jahre im Garnisonsdienst weiter, schlug den Mahdistenaufstand auf Indira III und Kahrtu nieder und wurde, mittlerweile zum Generalleutnant befördert, zum Militärgouverneur des Delija – Sektors ernannt. Damit übernahm Oberstleutnant Halleck kurzzeitig das Kommando, formte die dritte Division der Armeegruppe Angelus um und begann mit einer Reorganisation der Reserveeinheiten.

Doch der Landhunger der Könige Praetorias und der Wunsch die Fackel des erleuchteten Imperators in alle Ecken und Enden der Galaxis zu tragen, trieben die Geister und Gemüter erneut an. Neuerlich wieder einberufen, wurden ganze Regimenter der Garde, zusammen mit zahlreichen anderen Einheiten, wie z.b. von Cadia, Mordian, Vitria, Emerald, Catachan und Attila, Vostroya und Phantine der Gordon Angelus Expeditionsarmee unterstellt, die in den nordwestlichen Regionen des Segmentum Tempestus, an den Grenzen zum Segmentum Pacificus, gegen das Chaos und die Bedrohung durch Aliens vorgehen sollte.

Erster Befehlshaber dieser ständigen Kampfgruppe wurde Lord Militant Edward Alrik Ashburn von Angelus Primus. Da er selbst Mitglied der Praetorianischen Garde war, umgab er sich auch in seinem Stab meistens mit Soldaten dieser Einheiten, so dass die Praetorianer als Führungseinheiten gelten. Dennoch musste Lord Militant Ashburn eingestehen, dass die organisatorischen und administrativen Wege zu groß waren, die Angelus Armeegruppe wurde geteilt und wieder zu drei Armeegruppen formiert.

Lord Ashburn übernahm den Befehl über die Angelus Field Force (AFF), Lord Marschall Halleck wurde der Befehlshaber der Indiron Rimward Expedition Force (IREF) und der zum Lord General beförderte Gordon wurde der kommandierende Offizier der Kandahar Field Force (KFF).

Das 20th Praetorian übernahm im Fall der KFFG eine Schlüsselposition als Special Opertaion Unit und Service Regimental Unit ein.

Inspiriert durch den White Dwarf 115 in dem ein Artikel über den Generalstab der Imperialen Armee verfasst wurde und nicht zuletzt das aus Abnetts Romanen von Gaunt und den Tanithern aufgebaute Kreuzzugsflair, wollte ich mein Regiment innerhalb einer Armeegruppe ansiedeln und natürlich gleich auch federführend den Stab der Armeegruppe bilden lassen. Auch wenn die Armee aus Soldaten vieler Regimenter besteht, hat sie im Kern jedoch Praetorianer. Es handelt sich um Kreuzzugsverbände die für das Imperium (und Praetoria in zweiter Linie) Welten befrieden und sichern. Angeführt von einem Generaloberst bzw. einem Lord General Militant, stoßen sie immer weiter in die Sektoren des Segmentum Tempestus vor. Dass die Armee natürlich „like british“ sein soll, dürfte auf der Hand liegen.

Langsam taste ich mich wieder rein. Die Praetorianer und ihre Hilfstruppen haben eine neu Garnison bezogen. Der Aufbaue der Garnison bedarf noch etwas Zeit. Dennoch überdenke ich im Moment das Konzept.

Ich hoffe als bald auch wieder Bilder liefern zu können.

Early life

Kitchanar was born in Ballylongford Prime near Listowel, Countydistrict Kerry on Hibernia, son of Lt. Col. Hardy Horation Kitchanar, (605.M41 – 694.M41, The Kings Hibernia Rifles) and Frances Chevallier-Cole (d. 664; daughter of Reverand John Chevallier and his third wife, Elzabet, née Cole). The family were Praetorian, not Praeto-Hibernian: his father had only recently bought land on Hibernia. The year his mother died of tuberculosis moritis, they had moved to Bassel VI in an effort to improve her condition; the young Kitchanar was educated there and at the Royal Military Academy, Sandringhurst. He was commissioned into the Corps of Royal Praetorian Engineers on Imperials Day in 671.M41. He served in many deployments. like Palestine IX, Nelius and Cyprus Major as a surveyor, learned many Gothic Dialects, and prepared detailed topographical maps of the spaceareas.

Survey of Western Riff – Palestine IX

In 674, at age 24, Kitchanar was assigned by the Palestine Exploration Fund to a mapping-survey of the Truth Space of Holy Land, replacing Drake Tyrwhitt, who had died. Kitchanar, then an officer in the Royal Praetorian Engineers, joined fellow Royal Engineer Clauder Conderand and between 674 and 677, they surveyed what is today the West Bank and Galilee Sub-Sectors, returning to Praetoria only briefly in 675 after an attack by locals in the Galilee-System, at Safed Minor.
Conderand and Kitchanar’s expedition became known as the Survey of Western Riff because it was largely confined to the area west of the Space. The survey collected data on the topography and toponymy of the area, as well as local flora and fauna. The results of the survey were published in an eight volume series, with Kitchanar’s contribution in the first three tomes (Conderand and Kitchanar 681-685).

Nelius, Sikkim and Delija

Kitchanar later served as a Vice-Consul in Lahora, and in 683, as a Praetorian captain but with the Lahorish rank of bimbashi (major), in the occupation of Nelius (which was to be a Praetorian puppet state, its army led by Praetorian officers, from 683 until the early 750s), and the following year as an Aide de Camp during the failed Gordon relief expedition in the Sikkim. At this time his fiancée, and possibly the only female love of his life, Hermione Baker, died of typhoid fever on Cairo Secundus; he subsequently had no issue. But he raised his young cousin Bertha Chevallier, daughter of Kitchanar's first-cousin, Sir Francis Hepburn de Chevallier-Boutell.

In the late 680s he was Governor of the Red Sea Space Territories (which in practice consisted of little more than the Port of Suakin) with the rank of Colonel. Having become High Surface Pasha of the Neliusian Army in 692, with the rank of Major General in the Praetorian Army, in 696 he led his Praetorian and Neliusian forces up the Nile Trade Way, building a Jumppointway to supply arms and reinforcements, and defeating the Sikkimese at the Battle of Omdurman XVII on 698, near Khartoumus, the hidden Base of the Sikkimese.

Kitchanar's second tour in the Sikkim Sub Sector (686–699) won him national fame, and he was made Aide de Camp to High King Randolf, and appointed a Knight Commander of the Bath (KCB). However, this campaign also made his brutality infamous, an aspect of his tactics that became well known after the Boer Drift War. After victory in the Battle of Omdurman XVII, Kitchanar had the remains of the Mahdi exhumed and scattered, presumably to teach a lesson to his opponents.

He was created Baron Kitchanar, of Sikkim and of Aspall in the System of Scotia, on 698.M41 as a victory title commemorating his successes, and began a programme restoring good governance to the Sikkim. The programme had a strong foundation based on education, Gordon Memorial College being its centrepiece, and not simply for the children of the local elites - children from anywhere could apply to study. He ordered the mosques of Khartoumus rebuilt and instituted reforms which recognised one Day – an Imperials holy day - as the official day of rest, and guaranteed freedom of religion to all citizens of the Sikkim. He attempted to prevent ecclesastical Imperial missionaries from attempting to convert to imperial faith. Kitchanar rescued a substantial charitable fund which had been diverted into the pockets of the Khedive of Nelius, and put it to use improving the lives of the ordinary Sikkimese.

He also reformed the debt laws, preventing rapacious moneylenders from stripping away all assets of impoverished farmers, guaranteeing them 5 acres of land to farm for themselves and the tools to farm with. In 699 Kitchanar was presented with a small island on Nelius in gratitude for his services; the island was renamed Kitchanar's Island in his honour.

The Boerian Rebelion

During the Second Boerian Rebelion (699–702), Kitchanar arrived wit Lord Ashburn on the IWS Dunottar Castle and the massive Praetorian reinforcements of 699.M41. Officially holding the title of Lord Commandant of Staff, he was in practice a second-in-command, and commanded a much-criticised frontal assault at the Battle of Paardeberg in early year 700.M41.
Following the defeat of the conventional Boer forces, Kitchanar succeeded Ashburn as overall commander in later 700.M41, and after the failure of a reconciliatory peace treaty in 701.M41 (due to Praetorian royal cabinet veto) which Kitchanar had negotiated with the Boerian leaders, Kitchanar inherited and expanded the successful strategies devised by Ashburn to crush the Boerian guerrillas.
In a brutal campaign, these strategies removed civilian support from the Boerians with a scorched earth policy of destroying Boerian bases, farms, cities and places slaughtering livestock, building blockhouses, and moving women, children and the elderly into concentration camps from Adeptus Mechanicus. Conditions in these camps, which had been conceived by Ashburns as a form of controlling the families whose houses he had destroyed, began to degenerate rapidly as the large influx of Boerians outstripped the minuscule ability of the Praetorian to cope. The camps lacked space, food, sanitation, medicine, and medical care, leading to rampant disease for those Boerians who entered. The Treaty of Vereeniging was signed in 702.M41 following a tense six months.
During this period Kitchanar struggled against Sir Aldred Gonderman, the Governor of the Boaerian Colony System and the Praetorian government. Gonderman was a hardline conservative. He and the Praetorian government wanted to assert victory by forcing the Boerians to sign a humiliating peace treaty, while Kitchanar wanted a more generous compromise peace treaty that would recognise certain rights for the Boerians and promise future self-government. Eventually the Praetorian government decided the war had gone on long enough and sided with Kitchanar against Gonderman. (Louis Frederick Gutha, the Boerian leader with whom Kitchanar negotiated his aborted peace treaty in 701, became the first Lord Prime Counsl of the autonom self-governing Royal Union of Boerian in 710.M41 under Praetorian government) The Treaty also agreed to pay for reconstruction following the end of hostilities. Six days later Kitchanar, who had risen in rank from major-general to full general during the war, was created Viscount Kitchanar, of Sikkim and of the Vaal in the Colony of Vaal Prior and of Aspall in the System of Scotia.

Delija and Nelius

Following this, Kitchanar, was made High Sirdar and Governor General of Delija Sector (702–741) - his term of office was extended by fourteen years - where he reorganized the Delijan Army. While many of his reforms were supported by the Viceroy Lord Curzon of Kadloston, who had originally lobbied for Kitchanar's appointment, the two men eventually came into conflict over the question of military administration. While later events would ultimately prove Curzon was right in opposing Kitchanar's attempts to concentrate all military decision-making power in his own office, the Commander-in-Chief's intrigues won him the crucial support of the government in Praetoria and the Viceroy in turn chose to resign.

Whilst in Delija Kitchanar broke his leg badly in a horseriding accident, leaving him with a slight limp for the rest of his life. He doesn`t want bionics, cause he thaught, that he never goes horseriding. Kitchanar was promoted to the highest Army rank, Lord General Militant, in 710 and went on a tour of the sector. He aspired to be Viceroy of Delija, but the Secretary of State for Delija, Lord Wicker, was not keen and hoped to send him instead to Nelius as Commander-in-Chief of Praetorian forces in the Meridian Sector, even to the point of announcing the appointment in the newspapers. Kitchanar pushed hard for the Viceroyalty, returning to Praetoria to lobby Cabinet ministers and the dying King Randolf, from whom, whilst collecting his Lord General Militant's baton, Kitchanar obtained permission to refuse the Nelius job. However, perhaps in part because he was thought to be a Tory (the Royla Liberals were in office at the time) and perhaps due to a Curzon-inspired whispering campaign, but most importantly because Wicker, who was a real Imperial and thus suspicious of imperialism, felt it inappropriate, after the recent grant of limited self-government under the 715 Delijan Councils Act, for a serving soldier to be Viceroy (in the event no serving soldier was appointed Viceroy until Lord Marshal Halleck in 743, Wicker could not be moved. The Prime Minister, Lord Nettles, was sympathetic but was unwilling to overule Wicker, who threatened resignation, so Kitchanar was finally turned down for the post of Viceroy of Delija Sector in 721.

Kitchanar then returned to Nelius as Praetorian Agent and Consul-General in Nelius (the job formerly held by Lord Cromer) and of the so-called Praetorian-Neliusian Kondominium of Sikkim (741–744, during the formal reign of Abbas as Khedive of Nelius, Sovereign of Nubia VII, of the Sikkim, of Kordofan Major and of Darfur Prime). Whatever the legal niceties, Nelius was in reality a Praetorian puppet state sub-sector and the Sikkim a directly-administered Praetorian colony, making Kitchanar Viceroy of the region in all but name.

After Sikkim till today

Kitchanar was created Earl Kitchanar, of Sikkim and of Broome in the System of Alba, on 744.M41. Unusually, provision was made for the title to be passed on to his brother or nephew, since Kitchanar was not married and had no children. In this time, he hold the position of the Royal Earl Marshal of Praetorian Guard. This ist not the Lord Field Marshal of the Praetorian Guard, but it´s a staff rank.

Praetorian Delihan Army

Organisation

The Praetorian Delija Army has its origins in the years after the Indira - Rebellion 657.M41, when in 658 the High King of Praetoria took over direct rule of Praetorian Delija from the Imperial Indira Trade Company. Before 658, the precursor units of the Delija Army were units controlled by the Imperial Guard directly and were paid for by their profits. These operated alongside units of the Imperial Army, funded by the Departmento Munitiorum of the Segmentum Tempestus in Bakka.

Imperial Indira Trade Company were recruited primarily from Indira III, Indira IV, Attila meanwihle and Sikkim II in the Bengal Subsector, which consisted of Bengal Prime, Bihar Minor and Uttar Pradesh V, and high caste Soldiers recruited primarily from the rural plains of Oudh VII. Many of these troops took part in the Indria Mutiny, with the aim of reinstating the Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shahram Dar at Delija Prime, partly as a result of insensitive treatment by their Praetorian und Imperial officers.
After the Mutiny, recruitment switched to what the Praetorian and Mordian Command Officers called the "martial races," particularly Rajputis, Sikhas, Shurkas, Pashtans, Jatush and Balochish.

The Delija Army was an informal collective term for the armies of the three presidencies systems; the

The Delija Army had a formal existence and was the "army of the government of Delija Sector", including Praetorian, Imperial and Delijan (sepoy) units.

Lord Horation Kichanar was High Sirdar, between 702 and 729. He instituted large-scale reforms, the greatest of which was the merger of the three armies of the Presidencies into a unified force. He formed higher level formations, eight army corps, and brigaded Delijan and Praetorian units. Following Kitchanar's reforms:

Praetorian Guard units (and other Imperal Guard Regiments) posted to Delija for a tour of duty, and which would then be posted to other parts of the Praetorian Empire or other Imperial Departments.

Command

The officer commanding the Army of Delija was the High Sirdar and Governor General of Delija. His command was known as Delija Command and his staff were based at GHQ Delija Prime.
Delijan Army postings were less prestigious than Praetorian Guards positions, but the pay was significantly greater so that officers could live on their pay instead of having to have a private income. Praetorian officers in the Delijan Army were expected to learn to speak the Delija Gothic Dialect of their men, who tended to be recruited from primarily Hundu-Gothic speaking areas. Prominent Praetorian Delijan army officers included:
Delijanisation by which Delijans were promoted into higher officer ranks. The cadets were sent to study at the Royal Military Academy and Angelus Major and Sandringhurst and were given full commissions as High King's Commissioned Delijan Officers. The HKCDOs were equivalent in every way to Praetorian commissioned officers and had full authority over all troops (unlike VCOs). Some HKCDO`s were attached to Praetorian ore other Imperial Army units for a part of their careers.

Function

Spinward Frontier Sectors against Chaos invasion via Sabbatworlds, internal security, and expeditionary warfare in the Great Space Ocean of the Baarier Riff area between the Sabbatworlds and the Old Trade Way to Urdesh. The Praetorian Delijan Army had a strength of about 50 million men on the eve of Firste Great Crusade 714.M41.

During the days of Imperial and Praetorian rule, the Delijan Army proved a very crucial adjunct to Imperial forces not only in Delija Sector but also in other places, particularly during the First and Second Wave of Sabbatworld Crusade.

Recruitment was entirely voluntary; about 10.3 million men served in the First Wave Combat, many on the Spinward Front and 12.5 million in the Second. Initially the soldiers and NCOs were Delijan, with Praetorian ore Mordian officers but later Delijan officers were promoted as part of Delijanisation (see High King's Commissioned Delijan Officer). Slaydo told them all “The Heros of the Lion from Praetorias Fath”.

The Delijan Army established the Command and Staff College in 707 at Quetta XII, in present-day Schola Progenium Bruttiam to provide the army with staff officers who had knowledge of local Delijan conditions. The college still continues to train Imperial Guard officers. Whereas until 732 most Praetorian Delijan Army officers, both Praetorian and Delijan, were trained at Royal Military Academys of Angelus Major and Sandringhurst, after that date the Delijan officers increasingly received their training at the Royal Delijan Military Academy on Indira IV which was established in 732.

Dax aß mit ungezügeltem Appetit und das gelegentlich glitschige Schmatzen und Schlürfen war eine nahezu perfekte Präsentation dieser Tatsache. Devereux`s Teller war nicht mal angerührt. Er starrte nachdenklich in das tiefe Rot seines Weinglases.
„Ehm….eschen sie das noch, Sir?“ fragte Dax und schob sich ein Stück Weisbrot in den Mundwinkel.
Deveraux lächelte und schob ihm seinen Teller zu.
„Stuart, sie überraschen mich immer wieder“, antwortete Deveraux. Er wollte gerade ein weiteres Mal an seinem Wein nippen, als ihm am Ende des Speisewagens eine Frau auffiel. Sie starrte ihn an. Er blickte kurz in die andere Richtung um sicher zu gehen, dass es so war. Dann sah er wieder in ihre braunen Augen.
Bemerkenswert war die Tatsache das sie sehr abenteuerlich Gekleidet schien, einen Fellumhang trug, sowie einige Utensilien die nicht unbedingt zur Gesellschaft in diesem Zugabteil gehörten. Ihre Haare waren naturgelockt, so vermutete Deveraux, und dunkelbraun, ihre Haut hatte einen bronzenen Schatten.

Ein Kellner streifte sein Blickfeld und die Frau war fort. Nichts deutete daraufhin das sie je dort gesessen hatte.
Deveraux blinzelte. Nichts.
„Dax, sie haben mir doch nur einen Wein bestellt, oder?“
Es war Wein. Deveraux nippte und roch nochmals daran. Ein feiner verdischer Landwein. Nichts auserlesenes und nichts besonderes.

Deveraux starrte in die Ecke und sah nur den leeren Platz neben dem Mann, auf dem bis eben noch die Frau gesessen hatte. Er stand auf und ging zu dem Mann, offensichtlich einem praetorianischen Unternehmer auf Geschäftsreise, der sich angeregt mit zwei einheimischen Kaufleuten unterhielt.
„Entschuldigen sie bitte die Unterbrechung meine Herren“, begann Deveraux. Die drei schauten zu ihm auf.
„Sir, wenn sie erlauben, die Dame die eben hier gesessen hat, können sie mir sagen ob sie noch einmal wieder kommen wird?“
Die drei Männer blinzelten ihn verwundert an.
„Beim Imperator und König, wenn hier eine Dame gesessen hätte, ich hätte es bemerkt, oder nicht?“ begann der Praetorianer. Die beide indirischen Kaufleute lachten auf. Doch dann bemerkten sie Devereux´s ernsten Blick.
„Sir, es tut mir leid, sie müssen sich vertan haben“, erklärte der Praetorianer.
„Gute Güte, es wird die Hitze sein“, antwortete Deveraux und hoffte seine Fassungslosigkeit damit überspielt zu haben. Alle lachten und er ging zurück zu Dax, der mit dem zweiten Teller fertig war.
„Sir, ist alles in Ordnung?“ fragte Dax.
„Das weis ich noch nicht, jedenfalls wird mir das alles zu bunt. Ich bin mir nicht mehr sicher ob das hier nur eine Art Urlaubsfall wird oder nicht…“, er blickte sich um. Und dann ging das Licht aus.

Charaktere - Savannenwind (2)

Dieser noch junge und doch bereits erfahrene Offizier ist Captain Gorm Harno der kommandierende Offiziere und Hauptmann der 3rd Company (1st Battailon, 20th Praetoria).

Harno ist der zweite Sohn des Generals Edwark Harno (sein älterer Bruder Gabriel dient als Oberstleutnant bei den 112ten Hussaren). Gegen den Willen seiner Eltern trat er dem Regiment 760.M41 bei und nahm als frischgebackener Lieutenant an der Befriedung der südlichen Japh-Tal teil. Danach wurde ihm das Kommando über 3te "verstärkte" Kompanie gegeben und er wurde in den Rang eines Hauptmann befördert. Darüber hinaus wurde er zum Garnisonskommandanten von Calandra ernannt und hielt die Garnison 776.M41 erfolgreich gegen einen Angriff der "Mahdisten".

Es ist natürlich schwierig zu einer Geschichte die man schreibt, die passenden Gesichter zu finden. Und einfach nur größere "Modelle" beleben den Roman nicht wirklich. Daher habe ich mir erlaubt einige Schauspieler in bestimmten Rollen zu suchen, die mich beim Schreiben inspriert haben.

Ich fange daher nun auch in unregelmässigen Abständen mit den Portraits des Romans an. Heute sind es die Bilder von Detectiv Chief Inspector John Deveraux und seinem Assistenten, Detectiv Constabler Stuart Dax.

Die Aufnahmen zeigen beide Herren in ihrer täglichen zivilen Kluft bei der Polizeiarbeit auf Praetoria Prime. Stuart Dax ist noch ein junger Polizist, dies sieht man auf dem obigen Dienstfoto sehr deutlich. Er ist sehr eilfertig und manchmal etwas zu schnell in seiner Schlussfolgerung.

Sein Chef, John Deveraux, ist eigentlich ein gut aussender und in der Damenwelt durchaus begehrter Mann.

Hier sehen wird Deveraux in einer Straße der königlichen Hauptmakropole.

Deveraux gähnte und blickte blinzelnd auf seinen Chronometer. Er war eingenickt. Ein leiser, angenehmer Gong wurde geschlagen und die Gäste in den Speisewagen gebeten. Er stand auf, ließ seinen Kopf kreisen und blickte auf das weite, dahin rasende dunkelgrün des Dschungeldachs. Von Paschawar waren nur noch entfernte Spitzen am Horizont zu erkennen. Neben an der Hand abzählbaren weisen Wolken war der Himmel in einem gesunden Hellblau.

Während er noch darüber nachdachte, setzte sich der Schnellzug in Bewegung. Deveraux hatte nichts von Paschawar mitbekommen. Er sah aus dem Fenster und beobachtete fasziniert, wie die näherer Umgebung langsam verschwamm, während der Zug fahrt aufnahm. Die Umgebung selbst verändert sich schnell. Die inneren kolonialen und modernen Bauten der Hauptstadt wichen dem alten Stadtbild und dann den außen liegenden Slums. Dann jagte der Zug auf eine höher angelegte Bahntrasse und ringsherum wurde es dunkelgrün.

Er öffnete seinen Laptop und prüfte den Datenbestand. Das Hauptquartier der Militärpolizei von Kandhrapur hatte ihnen bereits die ersten aktuelle Auszüge
der Personalakten, Wetterdaten und aktuelle Nachrichten der Region zu kommen lassen. In der Provinz Niazam war es zu kleineren Aufständen einer alten Sereg -Sekte gekommen. Die Freihandelsgesellschaften hatten mehrere neue Rohstoffgewinnungskontrakte mit den südlichen Konsortien abgeschlossen und das Wetter für die nächsten Woche, sah in der südlichen Japh-Tal und der Großen Reg die jährlichen Sandstürme vor, die so genannte Zeit des Tippuhan-Windes.

Deveraux wählte die erste Akte aus und öffnete sie. Es handelt sich um die Akte des Majors. Sein Name war George Walter Buchannon. Major Buchannon war der Kommandeur des 4ten Bataillons, 20th Praetoria und mit diesem in der südlichen Garnison von Malkilahbad stationiert.
Er war Träger des Großen Praetorianischen Ehrenordens, des Adlers von Verula und des imperialen Aquila. Außerdem war er Ritter des ehrwürdigen Ordens von der Geront-Distel und ein renomiertes Mitglied des Diogenes Clubs.
Alles in allem ein klassisches Bild für einen nichtadligen Offizier, dachte Deverauxe während er die Seiten überflog.

Während er das Communique weiter las, bemerkte er eine zeitliche Lücke. Buchannon hatte während des Massakers von Erobal auf Arslan III, den Befehl über einen der linken Flügel des imperialen Vorstoßes. Dort verdiente er sich seine Beförderung zum Major. Danach kamen die Einträge seiner Dienstzeit auf Indira IV. Deveraux runzelte die Stirn und tat diesen Zufall als solchen ab.

Er rief sich die Akte eines der Lieutenants auf. Sein Name war Edward Harry Lionel, Second Lieutenant in der 3. Kompanie, 1. Bataillon des 20ten Praetoria. Er war noch sehr jung, und wie Deveraux erkannte, hatte der Kauf des Offizierspatentes fast die bürgerlichen Ersparnisse seiner Eltern aufgebraucht. Aber nur fast, denn sein Vater, ein Whiskyhändler auf Angelus, hatte zu Beginn des sirdarischen Jahres ein beträchtliches Vermögen mit dem Verkauf von 20 Fässern 400 Jahre alten scotischen Brandweines machen können, wie es in dem Zusatzartikel hieß, war er rein zufällig über diesen Schatz in seinen Lagerhäusern gestolpert.

Und wieder stutzte Deveraux. Der Bericht endete plötzlich und es trat eine zeitliche Lücke auf. Er sparte sich die Durchsicht der dritten Akte und öffnete die Sicherheitsdateien. Das Communique kam aus dem Polizeihauptquartier und war verschlüsselt worden. In dem Sicherheitsprotokoll erkannte Deveraux Sperreinträge, die in allen Akten den zeitlichen Rahmen von der Arslan – Mission bis ins letzte Jahr umfassten. Er stand auf und stellte sich ans Fenster. Seine Hand ging fast automatisch zu seinem Etui und er holte eine Zigarette. Er öffnete das Fenster, es waren nur kleine Löcher, da der Fahrtwind zu stark war, aber es änderte sich nichts an der Wärme. Der Himmel war immer noch ein blau und der dichte Dschungel lag knapp unterhalb der Bahntrasse.

Er konnte so nicht arbeiten. Anstatt das das Netz aus Lügen und möglichen Intrigen oder Verbrechen endlich klarer wurde, legte sich über alles noch mehr ein Schleier der Unsicherheit. Er hoffte, dass sich Sir Archibald als weitaus kooperativer herausstellen würde, als die zur Verfügung gestellten Unterlagen vermuten ließen. Es klopfte an seine Abteiltür.

„Herein“, sagte Deveraux. Es passierte nichts.
Ein wenig entnervt ging er zur Tür und riss sie auf, doch erschreckte er nur zwei Fahrgäste, die ihn entgeistert anstarrten.
Er blickte nach links und rechts, sah aber niemanden. Dann blickte er auf den Boden. Ein Zettel lag zu seinen Füßen. Er hob ihn auf und ging zurück in seine Kabine.
Der Zettel war dunkelbraun, zerknittert und an den Enden versenkt. Er faltete ihn auf und lass die Nachricht.

Die Handschrift schien weiblich zu sein, doch das war durchaus auch kein Indiz. Er rauchte seine Zigarette zu ende und setzte sich in den Sessel. Akten, die ihm keinen vollständigen Zugriff ließen, eine seltsame Nachricht und zum guten Schluss noch eine oder ein Unbekannter.

„Und das alles, weit ab von zu Hause“, brummte Deveraux zu sich selbst, während das grün des Dschungels an seinem Fenster vorbeirauschte.

Markant ist die grünliche Sonne des Vorlon-Systems, eines der beiden Systeme des Septes. Das andere liegt auf einer verlassenen imperialen Bergbauwelt mit dem Namen Var`lagas.

There is the organisation of the Delihan Field Force. The DFF is an Crusade Army, but a little bit smaller then an fighting Field Army. The Ranks are all coming from the British Army and the Indian Army between 1870 and 1947.

There are russian ranks and cosaks ranks too.

Zur allgemeinen Organisation lässt sich wenig sagen als soviel, dass die gesamten Einheiten der Armeegruppe eng miteinander verbunden sind und es Lord Gordon erlauben sehr flexibel mit diesem Kampfverband zu operieren.

Die Ränge werde ich demnächst mal posten.

Verbindungsoffizier-Umbau -3-

Der Offizier trägt eine Bärenfellmütze. Sie dient zum einen dazu, die Verbindung zwischen der Galauniform Praetorias und der Uniform der Vostroyaner herzustellen. Des weiteren soll sie natürlich die Stimmung eines Offiziers der praetorianischen "Gardegrenadiere" einfangen und die bewusste Ähnlichkeit zu den britischen Garde herstellen.

Der Kopf ist der Kopf eines Catacherns mit viel Green Stuff. Die Arbeit war einfach, das Resultat gefällt mir gut.

Das nächste Bild zeigt den Arm eines Cadianers...stark zugeschnitten und angepasst. Darauf sitzt eine Boltpistole aus dem Gussrahmen der Space Marines. Es gibt dem Modell aber keine zu heftige Pose, sondern ich persönlich finde die Lage des Arms und er Waffe stimmig.

Die Pose des Modells..vor allem in diesem Winkel..spricht wohl Bände...

Im Hintergrund ein Teil, das auch zu einem meiner Hobbys gehört......Scotch und Whisky ;-).

Es tat weh, aber ich habe es getan....rechte Hand und Kopf kamen ab. Den zu ersetzenden Kopf habe ich vorher bereits vorbereitet und benutzte dazu, einen Catachaner Kopf und Green Stuff...

Die andere Frage war, wie sanft konnte ich schleifen und schneiden..ich erzähle nicht wie...aber es hat funktioniert.

Viscount Sidmouth

Die Vorlage für den Romancharakter des "Viscount Sidmouth" ist dieser einigen vielleicht bekannte britische Colonel und Chef des Regiments Ihrer Majestät der so genannten "Kundschafter" bzw. The Queen`s Own Corps of Guides, stationiert in Nordindien.

Die Uniform meiner Praetorianer ist bewusst so gewählt, da ich diesen Colonel immer vor Augen hatte. Mal sehen ob mein "malerisches" Talent meinem Wunschanspruch noch gerecht werden kann.

Mit dem interessanten Aussehen eines Marschalls des Osmanischen Reiches kommen mir neue Ideen für einen praetorianischen Verbindungsoffizier bei den Vostroyanern.
Der Mann hier ist Otto Karl Viktor Liman von Sanders, einer der aus der Zeit des ersten Weltkrieges vielleicht noch bekannten deutschen Offiziere die in osmanischen Diensten standen.
Ich sammle weiter....Ideen habe ich fast zu viele um Zeit zu erkaufen, sie auch umzusetzen.....

3rd Battailon, Jungel Fighters

Die eigentlich als catachanischen Dschungelkrieger geplante Einheit in der Stärke einer Standardauswahl, wird nun zu einem Teil des dritten Bataillons.

Einige Sergeants wurden durch den Gussrahmen der Space Marines umgebaut. Auch soll die Einheit noch einen Schlag mehr "Sonderkommando" bekommen.

Vostroyans Reinforcmends from Bulgar

Das innere und das äußere der Box. Insgesamt ein gesamtes Platoon. Die Vostroyaner mit ihrem wilden, kosakischen Aussehen, werden die Grundlage der Unterstützungseinheiten des 2oth Praetorian ausmachen.

Dabei wird es sich um Soldaten von der wilden Welt Bulgar VIII handeln. Der dort herrschende Szar von Bulgar hat die Truppen als Zehntregimenter entsandt und sie dienen nun unter dem Befehl von Lord General Militant

Inquisitionsgefolge - Sicherheitschef

Ein Umbau aus Sergeant Krell, dem Kopf eines cadianischen Panzerfahrers, einem Tau Arm, zwei Spacemarine Schulterpanzern und einem Kettenschwertarm. Der Mantel ist mit Green Stuff gearbeitet.

Um den Xenos Arm eines Tau werde ich mich noch kümmern, ihn menschlicher zu machen. Aber dieser ehemalige "Harakoni Warhawke" ist der Sicherheitschef eines radikalen Inquisitors des Ordo Xenos, der auch nicht vor der Nutzung von Xenos-Technologie gegen eben diese zurückschreckt.

Das Tau PulseSturmGewehr soll die Flexibilität und den Wissenstand des Modells in den Diensten des Inquisitors hervorheben.

This is the Command Sentinel of Lieutenant Arkady Cage. Lieutenant Cage and his Sentinel Squad was a part of the 9th Mordian Guard. Within the Abydos Campaign the 9th Mordian where lost an Cage and his Squad be a part of the 116th Lighthorsemen of the 20th Praetorian.

This is Lieutenant Cage´s personal Sentinel under construction.

This is one of the regular sentinels of the squad.

The Colonels Loverboy, an Exterminator Leman Russ. He is one of the optional armored force of the Regiment.

Oben sind zwei Sentinels der regimentseigenen Lighthorsemen zu sehen. Es handelt sich um eine Sentinelschwadron, die als Teil des 9ten Mordian am Abydos-Feldzug teilnahm. Der mordianischen Befehlshaber, Lieutenant Arkady Cage überlebte mit seiner Schwadron zwar den Feldzug, das 9te Mordian jedoch nicht.

Cage und die Schwadron wurden zu den Lightehorsemen des 20th Praetorian versetzt.

Darunter ist des Colonels Liebling, ein Leman Russ Exterminator abgebildet.

Während er noch darüber nachdachte, setzte sich der Schnellzug in Bewegung. Deveraux hatte nichts von Paschawar mitbekommen. Er sah aus dem Fenster und beobachtete fasziniert, wie die näherer Umgebung langsam verschwamm, während der Zug fahrt aufnahm. Die Umgebung selbst verändert sich schnell. Die inneren kolonialen und modernen Bauten der Hauptstadt wichen dem alten Stadtbild und dann den außen liegenden Slums. Dann jagte der Zug auf eine höherer angelegte Bahntrasse und ringsherum wurde es dunkelgrün.

„Samuel ! Samuel“; die Stimme kam laut aus dem Schlafraum. Der alternde Soldat lief, zwei Taschen, sechs Hemden und drei Stiefelpaare auf dem Arm in den Raum.
„Sir, ja, Sir!“, meldete er sich.
Gabriel starrte ihn an und fing laut an zu lachen.
„Es tut mir leid, Samuel. Ich bin undankbar“, er nahm seiner Ordonnanz die Stiefelpaare und Taschen ab.
„Danke Sir“, sagte Samuel.
„Hast Du meine Jagdkleidung bereits eingepackt?“, fragte der frischgebackene Major.
Sein Bursche nickte.
„Ja Sir, die und die Tweeds ebenfalls“, er zeigte auf drei Schankkoffer am Ende des Flures.
„Du bist ein guter Mensch, Samuel“, sagte Gabriel Harno.
„Lady Berinice hat eine Nachricht hinterlassen…“, begann Samuel.
„Nicht jetzt, ich habe nicht mehr viel Zeit. Wo ist die Attila ? Wo ist die neue Uniform ?“, er begann damit in einem Berg von Wäsche auf dem Bett zu wühlen.
„Sir, hier ist sie“, beruhigte ihn sein Bursche. Die Husarenuniform des 115ten sah ein wenig anders aus. Die Uniform war in Feldgrau gehalten. Silberne Schnüre und Epauletten sowie die klassische Husarenattila mit silbernem Besatz in Feldgrau. Der Pitty hatte eine dunkelgraue Färbung. Ein versilbertes Messingschild des praetorianischen Wappens war auf der Stirnseite. Ausserdem hatte er eine versilberte Säbelpicke an der Spitze und einen silber-blauen Halsumlauf. Ein Pallasch hing in einer Scheide daneben.
„Perfekt“, murmelte Gabriel und ging daran seine Wüstenuniform aufzuknöpfen.
„Sorg dafür das alles eingepackt wird“, sagte er erneut.
„Jaaahaa“, brummte Samuel ein wenig entnervt und ging hinaus in den Flur. Dort traf er auf einen frischgebackenen Captain.
„Wie ich sehe hat die Familie heute Feiertag, wie ?“, er beglückwünschte Gorm, machte aber keine Anstalten in seiner Arbeit innezuhalten.
„Wo..?“, begann Gorm. Samuel zeigte ins Ankleidezimmer.

Gabriel hatte die Uniform schnell gewechselt. Trotz dem ganzen Silber, den Schnallen auf der Koppel, den betressten Epauletten und blinkenden Uniformlitzen der Reiterattila, bedrückte ihn das dunkle Feldgrau. Ein wenig Wehmütig blickte er auf das Bett und sah die alte, beigefarbene Uniform.
„Du siehst gut aus“, sagte eine ihm bekannte Stimme und holte ihn aus den Gedanken.
„Gorm“, Gabriel baute sich vor seinem jüngeren Bruder auf.
„Ein wahrer Husar!“, sagte Gorm.
„Na, kleiner, aber ich sehe das deine Litzen auch blinken, hat da etwa einer ebenfalls eine Pipe mehr bekommen?“, faxte Gabriel.
Er schlug seinem Bruder auf die Schulter und machte sich daran Sachen in die Koffer auf dem Bett aufzuheben.
„Ich habe ein Kommando bekommen“, sagte Gorm. Es platzte förmlich aus ihm heraus.
Gabriel hielt inne.
„Das ist ja großartig ! Was ist es, eine Kompanie ? Eine Schwadron ?“
Gorm hielt seinen Helm vor sich.
„Die Calandra Garnison mit der 3. Kompanie.“
„Calandra, das ist … eine schwierige Situation. Aber ich denke du wirst es schaffen“, sagte Gabriel und lachte wieder.
„Und du ?“, fragte Gorm besorgt.
„Unser Regiment wird nach Aexe Cardinal verschifft. Die Welt liegt im Sabbat Cluster. Nach den Meldungen sollen wir dabei helfen den Bodenkrieg endlich zu beenden. Der jahrelange Stellungskrieg soll aufgebrochen werden. Und dazu benötigen sie mobile Einheiten. Wir werden bei einem Ort Namens Brunsgatte mit sieben weiteren Regimentern eingesetzt“, erklärte Gabriel seine neue Marschbefehle. Gorm sagte nichts.
„Pass auf dich auf. Ich habe von Aexe gehört. Es ist ein mörderischer Krieg“, begann er.
Gabriel lachte.
„Welcher Krieg ist das nicht, kleiner Bruder“, faxte er.
„Deine Uniform“, begann Gorm nach Worten ringend.
„Was ist damit ? Schick, oder ?“, Gabriel spielte sich im Spiegel auf.
„Das ja, aber sie macht mir Angst, Gabriel“, Gorm schaute ihn an.
Gabriel bekam einen milden Gesichtsausdruck.
„Wir dienen dem Imperator und dem König wohin er uns auch ruft“, sagte er dann sanft.
„Ein Harno lässt sich nicht unterkriegen“, er sah fest in Gorms Augen.
„Du und ich, wir schaffen unseren Weg, Ruhm und Ehre“, er nahm seinen Bruder in den Arm.
„Ruhm und Ehre“, sagte Gorm.
Gabriel verschloss den großen Koffer.
„Calandra also, wie ? Da wird der Radscha wohl auf seine Töchter aufpassen müssen“, er lachte. Gorm wurde rot.
„Hast Du schon mit Berinice gesprochen, Gab ?“, fragte er, während er zwei kleine Koffer aufhob. Gabriel schüttelte den Kopf.
„Ich hatte noch keine Zeit“, begann er.
„Du solltest aber….“
„Ich weis, heute Abend, versprochen!“
Gorm lächelte und verabschiedete sich von seinem Bruder.
„Wir sehen uns morgen früh beim Appell“, rief dieser seinem Bruder nach. Die Regimenter würden gleichzeitig abrücken. Gorm blieb unbemerkt im Türrahmen stehen. Eine Brise aus der Japh-Tal ließ die bodenlangen Vorhänge wallen und sein Bruder war nur noch Schemenhaft dahinter zu erkennen. Gorms Herz krampfte sich und er schien zu wanken. Er hatte das Gefühl Gabriel nie wieder zu sehen. Samuel räusperte sich.
„Ich passe auf ihn auf, Master Gorm“, sagte der schon so viele Jahre für seinen Bruder dienende Bursche.

Gorm verließ das Offiziersquartier seines Bruders und ging nachdenklich die Veranda entlang zum Turbolift im Nordturm. Die Sonne brannte heißt an dem späten Nachmittag. Einige unerbittliche Sergeanten waren dabei den Strafkompanien das Exerzierreglement nahezulegen und mehrere Eskadrone der mysopischen Kavallerie sorgten für viel Staub. Auch eine Panzerkompanie ratterte ausserhalb der Festungsanlage zu ihrem Übungs- und Schießständen. Gorm stellte sich an die Reling des Decks und blickte auf das fünfhundert Quadratmeter große Areal des Hauptplatzes der Festung. Er ließ seinen Blick schweifen bis zum Haupttor und dann den Hauptturm hinauf, die beiden, 300 Meter hohen und mit riesigen Fahnen beflaggten Masten hinauf. Ein Silberner Aquila auf weißem Grund und ein mit Lorbeeren umrahmter Löwenkopf auf goldenem Grund. Die riesigen Fahnen wallten langsam in der Mittagssohne und schimmerten zeitlos.
„Gedanke, Captain?“, fragte eine tiefe Stimme aus dem Schatten zu seiner rechten.
„Der Imperator beschützt, Edward!“ zuckte Gorm zusammen.

Ich glaube er ist es. Das absolute Symbol britischer Doktrine aus der Zeit des viktorianischen Zeitalters mit einem enormen Anteil britischem Sendungsbewusstseins.

Deliha Sector

Der Deliha Sektor. Das obige Photo der Raumstation XVP des Adeptus Mechanicus wurde in 743.M41 aufgenommen und dem Astro Telephatica und dem Oberkommando zugeleitet. Es zeigt die südliche Ballung des Deliha-Sektors. Der rosawirkende Hauptsstern Deliha Prime und die im rechten, unteren Bildbereich erkennbaren Neliusnebel. Links oben wurde er Canadi Sektor vergrößert dargestellt. Links unten sind die Sterne des Scotia Systems, als Teil des Praetoria Sektors zu erkennen.

His name is China Gordon, Gordon Pascha oder General Gordon of Khartoum. He was an famous leader and commander of the british Officers in the time of victorian imperialisem.

Zu spät ! Zu spät ihn zu schützen , vergeblich, vergeblich wurden sie geprüft. Sein Leben war Englands Ehre, sein Tod war Englands Überheblichkeit! (freie Übersetzung von mir...)

Ich habe bewusst das Wort pride nicht als Stolz sonder Überheblichkeit übersetzt. Dennoch muss ich hier darauf hinweisen, dass Kipling durchaus eher das Wort "Stolz" gemeint haben mag.

Doch der Mann dahinter, der als China Gordon, Gordon Pascha oder Gordon von Khartoum bekannt wurde, war eine besondere historische Figur. Er war ein ganz besonderer Offizier und Soldat der viktorianischen Ära. So sagte man ihm nach, China mit einem Spazierstock erobert zu haben. Dennoch fand er im belagerten Khartoum sein Ende, da er mit den Worten "Ich bin den Menschen hier verpflichtet", sich weigerte, aus der Stadt zu fliehen.

„Nein ich habe nichts zu verzollen“, brummte Deveraux energisch. Den kleinwüchsige Zollbeamten schien dies jedoch nicht weiter zu beeindrucken.
„Das sagen sie alle“, bohrte er seinen fleischigen Zeigefinger zum wiederholten Mal in Deveraux rechte Schulter.
„Sagen sie mal, ihnen ist wohl gar nichts heilig“, fauchte Deveraux nun wütend.
„Ich bin Detectiv der PCID und…..“, er kam nicht weiter.
„Und ich bin Deputy Commissar der Border Selection und ich sage Ihnen sie sollen jetzt gefälligst ihre Koffer öffnen“. Deveraux resignierte. Er nahm seinen Helm ab und wischte sich wütend den Schweiß von der Stirn. Es war heiß, obwohl die Landeplattform des Raumhafens in einer Höhe von 2 Kilometern oberhalb des Makropolbodens lag. Die warmen Aufwinde des Umlandes sorgten für einen stetigen Atmosphärenausgleich auch in diesen Höhen.
„Sie haben Waffen dabei“, stellte der königliche Zollbeamte emotionslos fest. Deveraux holte sein Zigaretteetui.
„Nein, dass hätte ich nicht für möglich gehalten“, spielte er Verwunderung.
„Trage ich sogar Uniform?“, setzte er sarkastisch nach. Der Zollbeamte hob die rechte Augenbraue.
„Ich kann sie auch festsetzen lassen, ich habe den Anschein sie sind nicht ganz bei Sinnen“, sagte er ruhig. Deveraux schloss die Augen und drehte sich um. Er blickte über die Landeplattform.
„Dax, kümmern sie sich darum“, brummte er missmutig und ließ den jungen Polizisten mit dem Zollbeamten allein. Dax hatte das gesamte Gespräch schweigend verfolgt und war sichtlich irritiert.
„Sir ?“, fragte er verwirrt.
Deveraux fixierte ihn.
„Wenn sie nicht wollen, dass bereits hier ein Mord geschieht….“, begann er. Ob es das hysterische Leuchten in seinen Augen war oder pure Angst, Dax bewegte sich. Deveraux ließ einen Gepäckschubwagen passieren und ging zur Aussichtsveranda.
Während er seine Augen das Panorama geniesen ließ, dass sich ihm von hier aus bot, beruhigte er sich. Die Makropole erstreckte sich über zwei Kilometer in die Tiefe und mehrere Quadratkilometer in die Breite. Am Rand der Stadtgrenze begann der Dschungel des Mysobs, den er von Bord der Minota aus bereits gesehen hatte.
Im Osten grenzte er direkt an die Gerölllandschaften der Japh-Tal und im Süden an die gemässigten Savannen der Ravi Shankra. Die Kandaberge bildete eine natürliche Grenze zwischen dem Mysob und der Ravi Shankra.
Jetzt lagen die Berge noch im Dunst des Sonnenaufgangs. Er drehte sich langsam herum und sah Dax und den Zollbeamten ruhig die Papiere durchgehen. Er ließ seinen Blick schweifen und beobachtete das Entladen der gelandeten Frachter und Transporter. Er sah mit einem inneren Hochgefühl wie drei volle Gefechtskompanien der Praetorianischen Garde, Soldaten und Mannschaften noch im Standardrot, einen Frachter verließen. Ihnen folgte eine Schwadron Leman Russ Kampfpanzer bereits in Wüstentarnfarben. Mehrere Adepti und Servitoren des Administratums begannen mit dem Verladen von Versorgungscontainern und Güterballen.
Der Geräuschpegel war überwältigend. Dax schlenderte zu Deveraux herüber. Er hatte mehrere Papiere in der Hand. Von dem Zollbeamten war nichts mehr zu sehen.
„Danke Dax“, sagte Deveraux und lächelte.
„Es war gar nicht so schlimm. Ich habe unser Gepäck bereits bei Transcontinental aufgegeben. Sie werden es in unsere Zugabteile bringen lassen. Sie haben zwei Nachrichten vom Astrophatica Telephatica, Sir und ausserdem haben wir eine Einladung….“, Dax drehte den Kopf um besser lesen zu können.
„….eine Einladung zum Neujahrsball des Generalgouverneurs in Kandraphur“, er gab Deveraux die Datentafeln und Ausdrucke.
Deveraux fühlte sich zu beobachtet auf dem Aussichtsdeck.
„Wir sollten uns auf den Weg zum Bahnhof machen. Ich lese die Nachrichten später.“
Dax nickte.
„Da entlang, wir müssen einen der Aufzüge mit…….Glasboden……nehmen“, Dax stammelte. Die Personenaufzüge waren Gläsern und gingen von der Landeplattform die gesamten 2 Kilometern direkt am Rand des Makropolturmes in die Tiefe. Deveraux ging als erster hinein.
„Wissen sie, Dax, wenn wir hier sterben, dann haben wir wenigstens einen schönen Ausblick“, Deveraux lachte. Dax bekam eine andere Gesichtsfarbe, stellte sich aber neben seinen Chef.
„Dann schauen sie eben nach innen“, sagte Deveraux. Doch Dax schloss einfach nur die Augen.
„Schon besser, Sir“ sagte er dann.
„Sie sind mir vielleicht ein Assistent“, lachte Deveraux. Der Lärm hatte mit dem Schließen der Türen sofort nachgelassen, was allein bereits beruhigend war. Dann setzte sich der Lift in Bewegung. Der Makropolboden kam sehr, sehr schnell näher.

„Danke, das wäre dann alles“, sagte Deveraux und gab dem Concierge ein Trinkgeld.
„Danke Sahib, wenn sie noch etwas benötigen, nur Klingeln, Sahib“, er verbeugte sich und legte als Geste des Dankes die Hände zusammen vor das Gesicht. Dax und Deveraux hatten zwei nebeneinander liegende Abteile. Sie würden nun noch ganze achtundvierzig Stunden mit dem Hochgeschwindigkeitszug von Indiras Hauptmakropole Paschawar bis nach Kandraphur fahren. Erst dort würden sie offiziell ihre Arbeit aufnehmen können. Während Dax sich um das Auspacken kümmerte, lass Deveraux die Nachrichten. Die erste war von Lord Cardigan und bereits zwei Wochen alt.
Nachdem Deveraux seinen Code eingegeben hatte wurde die Nachricht aufgespielt.
Hallo mein Freund, ich hoffe ihre Reise verläuft ohne Zwischenfälle. Ich habe dafür Sorge getragen, dass sie auf Indira IV alles haben, was sie benötigen. Der Ordos hat Ihnen eine interrogale Vollmacht ausgestellt. Sie haben daher inquisitorische Rechte erhalten. Nutzen sie sie weise, mein Freund. Seien sie bitte bei ihren Ermittlungen behutsam. Sie haben zwar alle Vollmachten, aber die örtlichen Militärbefehlshaber sind nicht auf den Kopf gefallen. Behandeln sie sie mit Respekt. Ich weis das ich ihnen diese Rede nicht halten muss, aber sie verstehen die Situation…..
Deveraux hielt inne. Lord Cardigan war ein Mentor für ihn und er wusste das dem Chef der gesamten königlichen Polizeistreitkräfte nicht mehr daran gelegen war, dass die Angelegenheit gelöst wurde, als Deveraux. Dennoch wunderte sich John Deveraux über den Ton der Nachricht.
Ein Wort zum Schluss, lass Deveraux weiter. Lord Hamilton hat mir versichert, dass die Offiziere und Soldaten des 20ten Praetoria die besten und treusten der hiesigen Besatzungstruppen sind. Sollten sie Hilfe benötigen, so können sie sich an Viscount Sidmouth oder Lieutenant Colonel Wimsay wenden. Ausserdem habe ich Sir Archibald, den hiesigen Chef der Praetorianischen Arbites, angewiesen sie in allem zu unterstützen. Da jedoch der Planet nach wie vor unter Kriegsrecht steht, wird er wenig außerhalb der Polizeibezirke erreichen können. Es mag ihnen vielleicht möglich sein, örtliche Führer in Anspruch zu nehmen. Colonel Wickers brachte mir eine Meldung, dass in der Oase von Khor`Dy noch weitere Ausgrabungen durchgeführt würden. Das könnte ebenfalls ein Hinweis für sie sein, mein Freund. Gute Jagd !

Deveraux stutzte. Der letzte Satz war in Glossia, einer alten Geheimsprache aus dem Scarus Sektor, abgefasst.
Sie beinhaltete eine extreme Warnung, dass Deveraux und sein Partner überwacht würden und vermutlich Lebensgefahr bestand. Cardigan ging offensichtlich davon aus, dass die offiziellen Kanäle überwacht wurden, sonst hätte er die Nachricht nicht in dieser Kampfsprache verfasst. Deveraux würde auf der Hut sein.
Die zweite Nachricht war einen Tag alt und kam von Sir Archibald. Sie war kurz und pragmatisch abgefasst und bestätigte alle Buchungen und Unterkünfte für Dax und Deveraux sowie einen Willkommensgruss. Ausserdem beinhaltete sie eine Liste der Personen, die Deveraux nun im Laufe seiner Ermittlungen zu befragen suchte. 4 waren noch im aktiven Dienst. Ein Major, zwei Lieutenants und ein Color Sergeant. 3 waren während der letzten Frühjahrsoffensive gefallen und zwei hatten den Planeten bereits vor fünf Jahren mit anderen Einheiten verlassen.
Deveraux schloss den Brief. Er würde in Kandraphur persönlich mit Sir Archibald über die Angelegenheit reden.
Die Einladung zum Neujahrsball des Generalgouverneurs war in der Tat eine Überraschung. Was sollte ein Chief Inspector schon beim Gouverneur ? Deveraux vermutete Cardigans Handschrift hinter der Einladung und ging davon aus, dass die Personen, die er dort Kennenlernen würde, für ihn nützlich sein könnten.

One of my next Ideas is to great an Command Unit like the Royal Army Service ore Royal Army Ordonance Corps between 1875 and 1914 in Praetorian structurs. There are one bad pic of the Deputy Assistent Commissar, the guy on the right in black and white. The guy on the left will be the Standardbearer of this little troop.

Eine meiner nächsten Ideen ist es eine Art Royal Service Corps aus der Zeit der britischen Kolonialkriege zwischen 1875 und 1914 nachzuempfinden. Das schlechte Foto zeigt einen Stellvertretenenden Superintendent und einen Bannerträger.

Merkenin is an simpel conversion of an tank commander. I have used the body and all things from this. The saber is an conversion of an highelve sword from LoTr. I think he looks good....

Merkenin ist ein einfacher Umbau des Panzerkommandanten. Ich habe alle Teile aus dem entsprechenden Gussrahmen verwendet. Der Säbel ist ein Umbau aus einem Schwert der Hochelben aus dem Herr der Ringe - die Gefährten Set.

Ich weis das meine bisherigen Arbeiten ein wenig eingeschlafen sind. Zur Zeit arbeite ich für das Regiment mehr im Hintergrund. Zum Basteln und Malen habe ich leider keine Zeit, aber ich gehe davon aus, dies wird sich in den kommenden Monaten nochmals verändern.

Dennoch bleibt der Blog nicht verweist. Sobald mir neue Fotos vorliegen (diese Kamera hat es erwischt), wird es hier auch weitergehen.
