Sons of the Empire - Part II

Some Pics from the workbench today...

A lot of work to do, now we will see...

Cheerio,
Dudley

"Sons of the Empire" - Part I

In the meantime, all is in change. Even so my ideas about Dudley and his friends. I have show you the first paintsteps about Dudley and the Skinner Horses. And so I have change my mind about Dudley Regiment.

Dudley is an British Officer in an British Unit in the British Army in India. So he would be an Officer of the 17th Lancers.

His Friend, Major Frederik Hardy, would be an Officer from the 1st Madras Cavalry.

The next main character of the Troop is (Lieutenant) Colonel Robert Stanley Montgomery, Officer in the Viceroys Bodyguard and Special Agent of the Viceroys Security Service and a big-game hunter.

Last but not least we have Brigadier Gregory Hamish Campbell from 5th Seaforth Higlanders in Indian Service.

(Lt. Colonel in the Front)

And there are the Miniatures....

Campbell

Dudley

Hardy

Montgomery

New Perry Stuff

Cheerio !!

There he is:

Colonel Frederick Gustavus Burnaby (3 March 1842 – 17 January 1885) was an English traveller and British Army officer, died in the second Battle of Abu Klea 1885, Sudan.

The Petty Twins had make a brant new mini and Warlord Games give us a brand new rule book for black powder rules in Sudan War.

The book is amazing, many pics from minis and good reading rules.

Indian Office, Royal Engineers & Secret Service [I]

Hi Friends !

Ok...Admiral Drax Comment showed me that my photographs convey a slight green tint. Considering that, please ...

The Petty Twins had help me out. The special range of sudan shows us some magazin corespondents, like  Melton Prior, Frederic Villiers and Bennet Burleigh. I use the diorama for my own one.

My idea is to represent a group of Royal Engineers and Indian Staff Officers. Like an intelligence service team.

This is the original from https://www.perry-miniatures.com.

This are the two horses...

Their leader is Major William Cedric Dudley..

He wears his uniform pants, because he really is an officer charge of Bengal Cavalry in duty of imperial indian staff.

The other two are officers of the Royal Engineers and the Indian Staff Office. Images come to nearest days.

Have a good week.

Gordon
