200th Blogpost - Gordon Pascha - The Hero of Khartoum

Hi Guys!

 

That's a coincidence indeed. Right now I have my 200th post. For me, this is something special and I want to dedicate him one or two men. The first is the history known as Major General Charles Gordon, better known as Chinese Gordon and Gordon Pasha.

This man may be regarded controversial, to quote Winston Churchill.
But yet he had a property which constitutes a good soldier and general, namely trust, believe and courage.

Whether the legends about him are correct or not, he has impressed me, me, a little boy from Germany, whose historically conditioned upbringing of his own country has literally blown away, these properties.

On January 26, 2015 his death is 130 years ago, but the world is not better then the time of his life. There are two Links to wikipedia. First in german, and the second in english: Gordon Pascha (Ger.)  and  Gordon Pascha (Engl.). My feeling is that Gordon had a solid feel to its creator, not in vain, he made his own thoughts, around the Christ.

 

The second man I want to say thank you is Charlton Heston. Also, he is not without controversy, but for me a lot of good actors in the roles played, especially historical.

In my opinion one of his best, if not the best, the lone general in the deep dark Sudan. The general standing alone and knows that he will not get the help at the right time, if ever. There are the Links: Charlton Heston (Engl.) and Charlton Heston (Ger.).

Riders of Rohan - Update [5]

Hi Guys,

there is an update.

I want to show you the coats, because i have made a different between the regular warriors (right) and the captain of the troop (left). The captains coat is an paint of dark angel green and nuln oil shadow. So i have an  connection to the Royal Guard of the King, because there coats have the same color like the captain. This means, the captain ist an Guardsman of the King.

An other story is the white coat of Eorl the Young/Marshall Andred of Wolde. I don´t use an shadow, because i thing it looks better like this. 

There are the first six horses of the eored of eastfold. Take a look at the two guys in the background.

 

There you can see Theodred, the Second Marshall of Rohan and Eorl the Young.

The finished first warrior troop. The man of Eastfold under command of Bador, Captain of Rohan.

There we have Theodred again. I have paint the armor in dark angel green and brushed with red.

There is one of the honorable horses of Rohan.

These guys are numenorean warriors. i will use them as Gondor Guard of the Steward Cirion.

There is some Background from The Kingdom of Rohan. An interessting point is, that the Name Rohan is an sindarin word.
I like more the name "Horse Lords", like this:

"..It was because of the close affiliation with horses, both in war and peace, that they received their now famous name. Rohirrim (or more properly Rochirrim) is Sindarin for "Horse-lords," and Rohan (or Rochand) means "Land of the Horse-lords." These names were devised by Hallas, son of Cirion the Steward...."

I have bought some thinks from gw and others to make my new LotR Army and Story.

The Lord of the Rings - II

Uuuuh.. an self made mistake. Sorry. No Text and no pictures. There are some one.
But i have to excuse again, the pics are not so good.

I used my smartphone because our camera is death......

The first pics are someone from the warhammer 40 000 Workbench. There will be an longer break now.

But, i read the story about Eorl and Cirion and i find some old numeroeans.....i have an idea about this time...will see, what i can do....
